As head of the software giant's cloud division, he's been tasked with leading its newly declared war on Amazon for infrastructure-based cloud sales. Ellison, Oracle's swashbuckling co-founder and chief technology officer, fired the first salvo Sunday night and repeated his tough talk today at Oracle OpenWorld, the company's annual conference for customers and developers here.
