NEXTDC ships micro data centre from Sweden for WA customers

Data-centre-as-a-service provider NEXTDC has formed a partnership with prefabricated data centre specialist Flexenclosure. Having been constructed and fully tested at Flexenclosure’s manufacturing plant in Sweden, the company’s flagship ‘eCentre’ data centre solution was shipped to Western Australia for installation, comprehensive testing, and final commissioning. The micro data centre is now fully operational on-site at NEXTDC’s new 20MW P2 Perth data centre project that is being built over the next 18 months - it has been rather aptly named ‘P2 microsite’. Acting as a standalone facility for interconnection and telecommunications, the P2 microsite will provide Western Australia-based businesses with immediate connectivity to critical cloud services, metro, national and international links, in advance of the completion of NEXTDC’s hyperscale P2 facility in 2020.  At that point the microsite will be absorbed, becoming part of P2’s interconnect infrastructure.
