US Agencies Ordered to Revamp IT Infrastructure

On May 11, 2017, US President Donald Trump, signed a Presidential Executive Order on “Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure. " This long-awaited order comes at a time when the country and the world is grappling with escalating cyber security issues—and the worst yet global malware attack. With this order, the President has mandated that all the 190 federal agencies have to upgrade their systems in accordance with "The Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity" which was developed and managed the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
