Millions of Electric Co-op Consumer-Members Lack Adequate Broadband Service  Approximately 6.3 million electric co-op households, totaling 13.4 million people, lack access to adequate, high-speed broadband service (25/3 Mbps).1 Electric co-op members without broadband service are found widely throughout the United States and there are areas without broadband service in every state served by electric co-ops. This highlights that broadband access is a multi-state issue.
