Security is the killer app in the Software Defined Data Center. Micro-segmentation secures the SDDC. Effective micro-segmentation requires Layer 7 application visibility. Is provided by L7 Classifier integrated in hypervisor. Analyses east-west traffic between VMs in real-time, up to L7 application. Enables real-time association between applications and security policies. Divides data center into smaller zones which can be protected separately. Secures east-west traffic inside the data center. Applies appropriate trust / privilege to each VM.
