VHO Autodesk Partnership

March 9, 2020

We use Autodesk software to design the alignment geometry. We also designed some of the infrastructure components and the majority of the corridor design is done with Autodesk software. We've developed a lot of in-House tools that have optimized alignment design. All of that starts in Autodesk software and then it comes out and runs in our proprietary software. And then we're able to bring it back in and turn it into a fully federated kind of design. We're excited to bring these tools to other Industries a lot of the optimization and the analysis and design approach for these tools can be applied to any other linear infrastructure like rail, high-speed rail, light Rail or even power lines pipelines all those have different kind of constraints and different kind of objectives when we optimize so I was very excited to see if we can collaborate with Autodesk and bring it to other industries.

Amazon Web Services

Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services (AWS) began exposing key infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services -- now widely known as cloud computing. The ultimate benefit of cloud computing, and AWS, is the ability to leverage a new business model and turn capital infrastructure expenses into variable costs. Businesses no longer need to plan and procure servers and other IT resources weeks or months in advance. Using AWS, businesses can take advantage of Amazon's expertise and economies of scale to access resources when their business needs them, delivering results faster and at a lower cost.

NVIDIA Self-Healing Network Technology Enables Unbreakable Data Centers

video | November 14, 2022

In today’s networks, a traditional subnet manager will recognize failed links and recalculate routes to avoid the problem, but this can take up to 5 seconds for 1,000 nodes and 30 seconds for clusters with 10,000 or more nodes—not fast enough to keep an application running seamlessly. The self-healing network capabilities of NVIDIA Quantum InfiniBand switches overcome link failures, enabling network recovery much faster than any other software-based solution....
