Worldwide 5G Network Infrastructure Revenue to Reach $4.2 Billion in 2020, Gartner

Gartner Inc, the world’s leading research and advisory company and a member of the S&P 500, said that worldwide revenue of 5G wireless network infrastructures will become nearly doubled between 2019 and 2020. In its forecast, Gartner said that global 5G network infrastructure revenue will see an increase of 89% to reach $4.2 billion in 2020 from that of $2.2 billion in 2019, and that is forecasted to be further increased to $6.8 billion 2021. The market researcher also predicted that communications service providers (CSPs) will be making double of the investments in 5G New Radio (NR) network in 2020 than they will make in 2019, as this year investments will account for 6% of the total wireless infrastructure revenue which will reach to 12% in next year. Senior research director at Gartner, Sylvain Fabre said that revenue from 5G wireless network infrastructure will grew to nearly double between 2019 and 2020.
