VMware, Amazon Launch Collaboration of VMware Cloud on AWS
LAS VEGAS VMware kicked off VMworld 2017 by announcing its strategic alliance with Amazon Web Services (AWS), bringing VMware Cloud to AWS. The initial partnership announced last October is currently available in the AWS US West Oregon region and plans to expand across the US in the near future. The collaboration allows customers to bring VMware’s software-defined data center (SDDC) to the AWS cloud so applications can be run on public, private and hybrid cloud environments with access to AWS services.
