Cologix Acquires Montreal Hyperscale Data Center Firm Colo-D

Cologix announced Thursday acquisition of Colo-D, which operates two massive data centers in Montreal. The deal adds to Denver-based Cologix’s already sprawling footprint in the Montreal market.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Both deals appear to be largely about hyperscale – massive data centers aimed primarily at the biggest cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, all of whom launched cloud availability regions in Montreal in recent years.
