Cloud IT infrastructure spend up 9.2% to USD 33 bln in 2016

Vendor revenue from sales of infrastructure products (server, storage, and Ethernet switch) for cloud IT, including public and private cloud, grew by 9.2 percent year over year to USD 32.6 billion in 2016, according to a research by IDC. Vendor revenue for Q4 2016 grew 7.3 percent to USD 9.2 billion. Dell leads the Q4 2016 cloud IT infrastructure vendor classification, followed by HPE/New H3C Group, Cisco, Huawei, IBM, Lenovo and NetApp.
