365 Data Centers (‘365’), a leading network-centric colocation and other Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider, today announced a significant expansion to its Tampa data center campus. Fueled by growing demand in the Florida market, 365 is building an additional floor of data center space and increasing available power to accommodate new and existing customers.
“While growing the company significantly throughout the past six years, we are proud to have built our business on superior customer service and infrastructure solutions,” stated Bob DeSantis, CEO of 365 Data Centers. “This expansion will solidify 365 Data Centers as the leading network-centric colocation service provider in one of our fastest growing edge markets, providing existing and prospective customers with access to additional space, power, and connectivity.”
365’s Tampa data center campus, located at 655 North Franklin St, is among the most vital network hubs in Florida with 25 different carriers on-site and a key component of the Tampa Internet Exchange. The site offers redundant power, cooling, connectivity and 24/7/365 security, and, like 365’s 19 other data center facilities, it is HIPAA, PCI DSS, SSAE 18, SOC 2 and ISAE 3402 compliant. This expansion follows a major power plant upgrade made at the site, demonstrating 365’s long-standing commitment to its customers and the Tampa market.
“Uniti Fiber has been a 365 customer in Tampa for many years and 365 has proven to be among our most reliable colocation partners across the entire US,” said Tom Payne, Vice President, Carrier Relations for Uniti Fiber. “We look forward to further growing our footprint with 365 in Tampa and other 365 markets as we are confident in 365’s commitment to expansion to best service its customers.”
The Tampa expansion is one of 365 Data Centers’ growth initiatives as the company plans to invest more capital into its existing facilities and continue its disciplined strategy of data centers acquisitions in strategic edge markets.
“It’s about meeting our customers’ growth requirements,” explains 365 Chief Revenue Officer, Steve Oakie, “We have always placed our customers’ needs first by investing in our facilities so that they can expand and grow with us, especially where demand is highest.”
