Oracle Expands Cloud Infrastructure Business with 2,000 New Hires

Oracle, which provides cloud computing services to Adventist Health, Emblem Health, Glens Falls Hospital, and other healthcare organizations, is expanding its cloud infrastructure business by hiring close to 2,000 employees.The new hires will support Oracle’s expanding infrastructure customer base and come as the company rolls out new products and opens new international cloud markets.Oracle has recently launched several new cloud products, such as automated cloud security services and cloud data services.Oracle Gen 2 Cloud is built to run Oracle’s suite of enterprise cloud applications and uses machine learning to provide autonomous services, including Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Autonomous Linux. “Cloud is still in its early days with less than 20 percent penetration today, and enterprises are just beginning to use cloud for mission-critical workloads,” said Don Johnson, executive vice president of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “Our aggressive h...
