IT infrastructure of schools to be updated with help of EUR 8.27 mln

By 2022, all IT infrastructure of Estonian general education and vocational schools will be renovated -- the updating of the schools' internal networks will be supported with 8.27 million euros. "High-speed internet access and a school IT network that meets the needs and requirements of the digital age and the e-state are key technical prerequisites for using digital learning resources in learning and teaching," Minister of Education and Research Mailis Reps said. "Over the last three years, the internal networks of 154 schools were renovated, and in the next four years, the networks of the remaining Estonian schools will be renovated. By the end of 2022, all Estonian general education and vocational schools will have state-of-the-art network solutions," the minister added.
