Verily, the health data innovation company owned by Google parent company Alphabet, is developing a physical campus dedicated to opioid treatment with a data-driven twist. The OneFifteen project, a “not-for-profit healthcare ecosystem” dedicated to opioid addition treatment and recovery, will be located in Dayton, Ohio. Regional healthcare providers, including Kettering Health Health Network and Premier Health, will collaborate with Verily to offer treatment, tools, and resources to individuals with substance abuse needs. “Addiction is a disease best defeated through a public health mindset,” said Mike Maiberger, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Premier Health.
