DiData wins $20m NSW Health IT infrastructure deal

Dimension Data has scored a $20 million IT infrastructure contract with New South Wales Ministry of Health (NSW Health). The company, now known as NTT Ltd., will pilot NSW Health’s Health Grade Enterprise Network (HGEN) initiative, a plan to upgrade the IT infrastructure within hospitals and other health facilities within the state. The contract covers the delivery of site-wide local area network, wi-fi infrastructure-as-a-service and pre-deployment professional services. The ministry did not reveal specifics on what hardware and software will be used. “As the digital transformation of our state’s public health system gathers pace, NSW Health is working to ensure its foundational ICT infrastructure is robust, resilient and future-ready for hospitals to provide the best possible healthcare to the people of NSW,” an eHealth NSW spokesperson told CRN.
