Backup and Disaster Recovery Evolves with HIT Infrastructure

Backup and disaster recovery solutions are one of the more important aspects of HIT infrastructure, as they help prevent organizations from losing valuable patient data in the event of a cyberattack. Gartner released its latest Magic Quadrant for Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions, outlining how the backup and disaster recovery market will fair in the coming years as organizations continue to face threats and outages. The backup and disaster recovery market is still evolving, and Gartner analysts predicted that by 2021, 50 percent of organizations will be upgrading backup applications they deployed in 2017. The report added that by 2022, 20 percent of data storage solutions will be self-protecting, up from 5 percent today.
