Service Express Releases Data Center & Infrastructure Report: Priorities and the Outlook for 2020

Service Express, a leading third-party maintenance provider, has released their Data Center & Infrastructure Report for 2020. Service Express compiled the report with data collected from IT professionals nationwide to outline their data center priorities, challenges and infrastructure methods. Additional insights and strategic observations are included from CIO Todd Piper and CTO Jake Blough of Service Express. Respondents identified the top priorities and challenges they are facing in the next 12-month cycle as an IT professional in the data center. The top priorities included strengthening security and privacy, improving internal processes and collaboration, and reducing IT costs/improving inefficiencies. Top challenges included IT budget/cost reductions, changing technology/adoption, and addressing unexpected issues.IT professionals were also asked to share their current and future plans regarding their on-premise, off-premise and data center colocation strategies. The top driver when considering deploying off-prem was identified as for IT disaster recovery/business continuity reasons.
