First LTE Network Tethered Drone-Based COMSovereign provides

prnewswire | December 21, 2020

COMSovereign Holding Corp. (OTCQB: COMS) ("COMSovereign" or the "Organization"), a U.S.- based engineer of 4G LTE Advanced and 5G Communication Systems and Solutions, reported that its Drone Aviation specialty unit has conveyed its first completely coordinated, drone-sent LTE network framework to a client. This achievement denotes the business accessibility of another fastened robot based flying stage that permits clients to "stand up" a completely operational LTE network without dependence on existing framework. Based on Drone Aviation's exceptionally versatile WATT 200 fastened robot, the new elevated LTE network stage includes the FeatherLite™ airborne LTE interchanges bundle created by Virtual NetCom (VNC), another unit of COMSovereign Holding Corp. Dissimilar to other robot based media transmission network arrangements, FeatherLite use progressed network work virtualization to make a total 3GPP guidelines agreeable airborne LTE network with a virtualized LTE EPC (Evolved Packet Core), eNodeB little cell base station, incorporated particular application programming, and numerous backhaul arrangements. As a total facilitated airborne LTE network arrangement, the FeatherLite-incorporated WATT 200 can be immediately conveyed to make an organization "bubble" supporting availability inside scope of the robot in light of crises and cataclysmic events, incidentally increment remote inclusion at extraordinary occasions or to give availability in zones with no current framework. Then again, this arrangement can interface through SATCOM, microwave backhaul, or wired foundation to give a connection into existing business organizations. This whole framework is compact, contained inside two ruggedized bags for simple sending almost anyplace. "The new WATT 200 system we delivered further builds upon our extensive expertise in designing and building persistent tethered aerial platforms. By integrating VNC's FeatherLite small cell platform into WATT 200, we have created an unique drone-based LTE capability that can be deployed in 5 minutes and provide long duration connectivity at the touch of a button," said Felicia Hess, Chief Executive Officer of Drone Aviation. "Based upon feedback from telecom service companies, operators, and government agencies, we believe that there are many potential customers with stringent requirements that can only be solved with a rapidly deployable network solution. Our tethered drone system delivers many benefits including improved safety, secure communications, and uninterruptible ground-based power, allowing sustained airborne communications and operations unmatched by battery powered drones. We intend to build upon the flexibility of our tethered aerial platforms with multiple solutions planned for release in the next few months designed to enable a broad set of capabilities for service companies, operators, first responders, and military/intelligence users," added Dr. Dustin McIntire, COMSovereign's Chief Technology Officer. About COMSovereign Holding Corp. COMSovereign Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: COMS) has assembled a portfolio of communications technology companies that enhance connectivity across the entire data transmission spectrum. Through strategic acquisitions and organic research and development efforts, COMSovereign has become a U.S.-based communications provider able to provide 4G LTE Advanced and 5G-NR telecom solutions to network operators and enterprises.

With MicroDLynx II, ABB Provides High Current and Power Density for Compact IT Equipment

ABB | April 26, 2021

Pushing the limits of advanced IT and networking devices requires advances in component density and functionality. This means building board-level power modules in ever-shrinking, high-density packages for power and electrical engineers. The latest MicroDLynx IITM DC-DC from ABB helps satisfy the power requirements of demanding, data-hungry applications by offering highly accurate voltage control in a compact, 232-mm2 footprint – with a power density of 167 A/in2. The new MicroDLynx II power modules, the latest addition to ABB's established DLynx II family of DC-DC converters, provide the precision power needed for equipment such as high-speed switches and routers, AI processors, application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), high-current field-programmable gate array (FPGA) processors, and ARM-based processors – all in a small footprint. Performance and Control Features of the new MicroDLynx II non-isolated, high-density DC-DC converters – or UJT060 DC-DC converters – include: • DC input voltage range of 7.5 to 14.4 volts (V). • Precisely regulated, programmable output voltages of 0.5 to 2 V. • Ability to link in parallel configurations of up to four units to achieve maximum output currents of 240A. • Advanced digital controls and monitoring via PMBus 1.3 that creates “black box” fault detection for advanced diagnostics. PMBus commands can be set to record and store a wide range of parameters. • 88% high-efficiency power conversion from 12V input to 1V output, reducing energy consumption and improving thermal management. • Minimal power thermal derating from airflow and ambient temperatures. • Fully tested and IPC9592-qualified modules that can help reduce application time-to-market and design risk while also improving field reliability. • Low transient and ripple attribute to meet load input voltage requirements. New Digital Power Insights ProGUI III ABB has released a new version of its validated Digital Power Insight software tool, in addition to the MicroDLynx II DC-DC converters. The Digital Power Insight software works with ABB's digital devices, such as AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies, digital bus converters, and point-of-load/voltage regulator modules, to allow communication between the power supplies and customer end-use equipment through a PMBus interface. Customers can conveniently find the best product for their application needs and digitally test various options as a result of this. The updated ProGUI III software version blends previous versions of the Digital Power Insight tool (including the graphical user interface, command-line interface, and initial ProGUI versions) into a single software solution for all ABB Power Conversion digital power supplies and modules, including the latest UJT060 MicroDLynx II. ABB Power Conversion serves customers in fast-changing, mission-critical environments where information, access, and response times are redefining their markets. They provide integrated, end-to-end utility solutions and services around the power landscape, providing the power quality, reliability, and efficiency required to maximize uptime in the most critical applications. About ABB is a leading global technology company that energizes social and industrial transformation to create a more productive, sustainable future.
