HYPER-CONVERGED INFRASTRUCTURE, APPLICATION STORAGE
Pure Storage | March 06, 2023
Pure Storage®, the IT pioneer that provides the most sophisticated data storage technology and services, has recently introduced FlashBlade//ETM, a scale-out unstructured data repository designed to accommodate exponential data growth with best-in-class energy efficiency. FlashBlade//E eliminates the need for customers to settle for disc storage, as its acquisition cost is comparable to that of disc, and its operational costs are much lower.
FlashBlade//E offers an improved approach to managing unstructured data growth efficiently, reliably, and sustainably, with an industry-leading user experience and economics allowing customers to eliminate disc in their data center. Its advantages include:
FlashBlade//E is the industry leader in energy efficiency, consuming up to five times less energy than the disk-based systems it will substitute. The larger the system, the more efficient it is, thereby assisting organizations in achieving their increasingly vital sustainability objectives.
FlashBlade//E is designed to flex and grow on demand, with 10-20x more consistency than hard disk-based systems, without disruption or forklift upgrades. The solution is easy to manage at any scale due to its cloud-like simplicity, adaptability, and predictable performance.
FlashBlade//E is offered for less than $0.20 per GB, including three years of support. The platform begins at 4PB and scales while providing dependable performance.
The solution will be available to the general public by the end of April 2023. In addition to the standard purchase, customers can deploy FlashBlade//E through an innovative service tier of Pure's Evergreen//One Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) subscription, offering a cloud experience and pay-as-you-go economics with on-premises deployment control.

Airgain, Inc. | February 24, 2023
On February 23, 2023, Airgain announced its showcase of 5G infrastructure products at Mobile World Congress (MWC), Barcelona, using the Anritsu Radio Communications Test Station MT8000A 5G platform. The company uses this comprehensive testing platform and the Anritsu Radio Communications Analyzer MT8821C 4G/LTE platform in its San Diego headquarters to develop and test new 5G products to improve customer experience.
The MT8000A supports Frequency Range 1 (FR1) sub-6 GHz and FR2 millimeter wave (mmWave) bands to meet all 5G testing needs. The MT8000A, one of the first commercialized 5G test platforms, has helped develop 5G chipsets, devices, conformance tests, and carrier acceptance. The Anritsu wideband Radio Communication Analyzer MT8821C tests 4G/LTE cellular. When merged, the MT8000A and MT8821C test platforms cover all major commercial cellular technologies.
“With the growth in global 5G adoption, we employed a continuous effort to streamline end-to-end 5G development,” said Dr. Ali Sadri, CTO at Airgain. He further added, “Our collaboration with Anritsu enables us to test and improve our designs, helping us bring products to market that we believe can make a significant impact to the customer experience quickly and accurately.

Styra | January 23, 2023
Styra, Inc. creates and maintains Open Policy Agents (OPA) and is one of the leading cloud-native authorization firms. The company recently introduced the toolset for infrastructure to its Styra Declarative Authorization Service (DAS) and the industry’s broadest policy library. In addition, Styra offers NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-190 compliant policies within its expanded library that includes hundreds of validated policies to address security concerns associated with the use of containers.
Styra speeds up the deployment of secure, compliant cloud-native infrastructure and gives enterprise platform teams the tools they need to deploy resources for distributed developers systematically. This saves time and money while keeping security best practices.
To ensure security, compliance, and operational health, platform engineers repeatedly write or customize software that stops developers from making errors, and over time build customized guardrails that automatically impose security rules, compliance regulations, and other operational policies each time a developer makes a change. This effort often includes undifferentiated heavy lifting, which adds complexity, risk and creates a significant barrier to on-time delivery. It is when enterprises cannot afford to choose between security and business time-to-market platform, engineering teams can benefit from policy editing for business users, validate building blocks and policy-as-code guardrails to deliver infrastructure resources without compromising security instead of building them from scratch-in-house.
Styra enables infrastructure-managing platform teams to:
Eliminate manual policy creation and reduce production risks systematically for infrastructure deployments by utilizing policy templates and editing tools that are simple to deploy.
Deploy faster with hundreds of Styra-validated AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes policies for Terraform from the most popular open-source tools and libraries.
Easily enforce best practices and compliance for Kubernetes clusters with NIST SP 800-190 compliant policies from Styra, in addition to an extensive collection of Styra validated policies for PCI DSS, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Benchmarks, and Pod Security Compliance.
Enforce policy guardrails on CloudFormation stacks to prevent AWS resource misconfiguration during final resource change checks with the first general-purpose third-party CloudFormation hook from Styra.
Styra Founded in 2019, Styra enables enterprises to enforce, define and monitor policy across their cloud-native environments with the combination of both open source (Open Policy Agent) and commercial solutions (Declarative Authorization Service). The company provides operations, security, and compliance guardrails to safeguard applications, also the infrastructure the company works on. Its policy-as-code solution allows developers, DevOps, and security teams to relieve risks, speed up application development and reduce human error.
