Collecting data, processing it and finally culling it to fuel your business decisions is imperative at a day and age where technology is omnipresent. And hence, the next obvious question that every business needs to ask is, ‘where are we storing our data?’ Even though many of us have never even set foot into a data center, as citizens of a connected, data-driven world, we are highly dependent on data center services - the same way we rely on efficient water supply, transport infrastructure, and electrical grids.
Since it was first available, Citrix has worked with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) to integrate Citrix ADC with the Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC). As a valued technology partner, Citrix has a device package — a software module — that enables users to configure the Citrix ADC directly from a Cisco APIC. This setup has run in many customer production environments over the years. Let’s consider one of those customers — Jim. He was the first to deploy the integrated solution in his data center. The solution gave him the automation he needed and a single view to configure, deploy, and manage applications. However, his application admins preferred to use the Citrix ADC user interface to manage L4-L7 services.
One of the most exciting areas of Vubiq Network’s innovative millimeter wave technology is in the application of ultra high-speed, short-range communications as applied to solving the scaling constraints and costs for internal data center connectivity and switching. As offices worldwide sit abandoned, many of the millions of employees ordered to stay home are actually keeping hard at work, taking advantage of residential broadband connections, VPNs, email, video conferencing, and instant messaging applications to do their jobs. Thank the corporate world’s willingness to let employees occasionally work from home for the necessary IT infrastructure. However, as much as we’d like this alone to solve the business continuity challenges, enabling a handful of employees to work from home once a week is trivial compared to ensuring all of a company’s employees can do so for months on end.
